| This rug was woven by Doris Haskan of Tec Nos Pos, Arizona. When I first saw this rug it was on Doris' loom. She and her grandson were sitting on the floor in front of the loom as Dorsey the grandson (five years old at the time) dictated Doris which colors to use so this is a colaboration between grandmother and grandson. A few months later I visited the Haskans and asked about the rug she was making with Dorsey. The family was using it as a personal item but I offered to buy it. This is a particularly colorful Navajo rug. Like most of Doris' rugs the design is her own base on the traditional double diamond. 26.5 by 40 inches. |
