About rentals: Road bike rentals are limited in Moab and road bike sizing so precise that we advise bringing your own road bike. We may have or be able to find a bike your size or even build one up for you, but we would rather see you on your own bike for the sake of safety and comfort. Many of our clients combine their vacation with us with the purchase of a Moots, Pegoretti or Pinarello road bicycle built here at Dreamride. Many Elite level services are free with the purchase of a Moots road bicycle.

Seasonal opportunities: Southeastern Utah has backroads with an incredible variety of spectacular scenery from mountain alpine heights to desert plateaus and canyons to the Colorado River gorge. We can ride directly from Moab into Arches (up to 65 miles), Canyonlands National Parks (up to 100 miles) and Dead Horse State Park (up to 70 miles). Spring and fall are best seasons for road cycling. Summer is hot as hell in the afternoon, but during early morning hours or at night (yes, we ride the full moon and dates around it) conditions are mostly perfect for road riding. We can shuttle and sag rides into the La Sal Mountains to avoid the extreme heat at lower altitude. There is an epic loop that traverses the La Sal range that strong riders should consider, but with Elite Services we will help almost any sport rider accomplish it. South of us into San Juan County are roads that during spring and fall are mostly deserted, but that lead to Hovenweep's Anasazi ruins and Monument Valley's vast stretches of straight road. In southeastern Utah our primary roads are much like backroads in other parts of the country, only much more scenic. Our backroads, when timed correctly, are mostly deserted. During the off-season from November through early March traffic is never an issue. Off-season dates allow easy booking within a month of departure and greatly reduce lodging costs, as well.
